Processing of personal data
For the collection, handling and storage of information obtained through cookies and other electronic tools, as well as information on profiling that we carry out for marketing purposes, we refer to the section “about cookies and profiling” below.
Personal data you have provided to us
Once you have given your consent to BANG you will disclose certain information about yourself to us.
Personal data we have collected from you
When you visit, or subscribe to forms, our website or interact with us in some other way, we will collect your personal data. The types of personal data we collect may, depending on the context, include:
- name and contact information including address, mobile number and email address;
- different types of demographic information;
- information on preferences and interests based on the use of our website;
- other information relevant to customer surveys, ads, contests or offers; and/or:
- other user-generated information that you actively choose to share via our websites.
BANG process the IP-address, language settings, geographical information and other data we receive when you visit one of our websites.
Why do we process your personal data?
BANG might process your personal data because: you agree to it or there is a legitimate interest or because it is required by, for example, law or regulation.
We process your personal data for the following reasons:
- To send you newsletters and other marketing materials
- To improve our communication, services and products
- To keep our customer directory up to date
- To customize BANGs websites to your behavior and preferences
In the event that a service we provide requires your consent, we will ask you to consent to such service and that we process your personal data. Providing consent to the processing of personal data is voluntary and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
Provided that you give your consent, BANG will use your personal data for marketing purposes. Your data may be used for direct marketing, newsletters, customer satisfaction surveys and statistical purposes, as well as for campaigns conducted by post, e-mail, text or other digital channels until such time that your consent is withdrawn. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting customer services or clicking on the cancellation link in emails and newsletters. We comply with the guidelines of the Swedish Marketing Act regarding advertising to children.
Providing you give your consent; BANG will use your personal data in order to analyze your shopping history and behavior and your behavior on the websites of our subsidiaries, in order to gain more information about you as a customer and our customers in general, and to enhance our portfolio (profiling). For the same purposes, we may also process any personal choices and preferences you have shared with us, for example that you are interested in a particular category of goods and/or services. This information is used to specifically tailor offers we make to you.
We process your personal information in order to fulfill a legal obligation for the following purposes:
- Consent to receiving newsletters and other marketing: If, through a request on our website, you choose to begin a subscription to our newsletter, we ask you to consent to your personal data being processed for marketing purposes, which includes, among other things, our handling of your subscription to our newsletters and profiling in order to direct personal offers and news to you as a customer
- To fulfill our agreement or fulfill our obligations in relation to you.
Information about Cookies
Who can access your personal data?
Your personal data may be shared with actors who process personal data on our behalf, so-called personal data assistants. We disclose your personal data to the following; other companies within the BANG Group. As BANG is a company that operates on an international market, some of your personal data may be disclosed to companies in the group that operate in other countries;
Suppliers of IT systems and their partners in development and support. These companies provide services, technical solutions and platforms for BANG’s customer relationship work.
Providers of address information. BANG may use an accredited provider for automatic retrieval and updating of your address information at the civil registry office.
Payment processing partners. To handle payments made by BANG’s customers, we use suppliers to guarantee secure payment solutions.
Other collaboration partners. As a customer of BANG, we also want to be able to offer you benefits with one of our partners. This means that in order for you to be able to use their offers and benefits, we may need to share some of your personal data with us, such as name, email and mobile number. Offers in collaboration with external partners will only be sent by subsidiaries/partners to BANG and the personal data provided to collaboration partners is only used so that you can identify yourself as a customer of BANG.
How long do we store your personal data?
We never process your personal data for a longer period of time than is permitted according to the applicable law, regulation, practice or authority decision. Data can, for example, be saved longer if required by law. The personal data is stored and processed in BANG’s IT system. You can contact us at any time and withdraw your consent and request that we delete your personal data.
In accordance with current data protection legislation, you have the right to access information about which personal data we process about you and the right to request correction of your personal data.
Under certain conditions, for example if you withdraw your consent, object to our processing or consider that the processing is not necessary for the stated purposes, you also have the right to request deletion or limitation of your personal data or object to our processing. You also have the right under certain conditions to obtain the personal data concerning you that you provided to us in a structured, generally used and machine-readable format and have the right to transfer this to another personal data controller.
You have the right to revoke all or part of a given consent to the processing of personal data at any time with effect from the time the revocation is made. You also have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing and profiling. All communications and all actions taken by BANG regarding your rights are provided free of charge. BANG reserves the right, in the event of manifestly unfounded or unreasonable requests, to either charge a reasonable fee covering the administrative costs of providing the information or take the action requested, or refuse to comply with the request. If you have any complaints regarding our processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority that exercises supervision over companies’ handling of personal data.
